The Statox 506 for the detection of toxic gases and oxygen

fully complies with SIL2

Like the Statox 505, the new Statox 506 is equipped with intelligent sensors from our own production.

They can detect NH3, HCN, Cl2, CO, O2, H2S, O3, NO2, H2, HCl, N2H4, COCl2,and SO2 with high sensitivity.

The sensor signal runs into the state-of-the-art electronics, which features safety functions such as “Heart – Beat” sensor monitoring, “Smart Sensor” technology and solid hardware and software monitoring.

Pure safety: SIL2 standard

The DIN EN 61508 standard makes functional safety measurable.
This means that every sensor, every mechanical and electronic component, no matter how small, every software routine is monitored for its probability of failure.

The total of these paramters describes the probability of a failure while a dangerous gas is present. The probability of failure of the Statox 506, is far below the requirements of the standard – it even exceeds the requirements of the product standard for gas warning systems DIN EN 50420.

Easy to use: Plug & Play

The measuring head itself is gas-neutral. All technical parameters are stored in the F-RAM of the smart sensor. As soon as the sensor is plugged in, it communicates all important metrological data to the measuring head (gas type, measuring range, calibration data, manufacturing date, total exposure, etc.) and a short time later it is ready to measure. With this new generation of sensors, you can even query when a calibration or proof test is necessary.

Replacing the sensor is easy: Snap the sensor into the holder of the measuring head – and done.

This way, sensors located in hard to access areas can be conveniently calibrated in your workshop and then be quickly and easily reunited with the measuring head on site.
