Statox 503 Control Module – The all-rounder in measurement technology
With the Statox 503 control module, each of our measuring heads can be controlled, regardless of whether they are for toxic or combustible gases.
It provides a 4-20 mA output signal and has three powerful relays for alarm 1, alarm 2 and system errors. This means that peripheral alarm signals can be controlled with up to 8 A!
In addition, the control module can be switched to a common alarm module at the push of a button – this makes it flexible and saves storage costs.
SIL2 – functional safety paired with flexibility
As a stand-alone control module, it meets the requirements for functional safety according to IEC 61508 or IEC 61511. It works in LOW-Demand mode and achieves SIL2.
In combination with the measuring heads Statox 501 ARE and HRC, the new Statox 506 and Statox 560, gas warning systems for combustible and toxic gases can also be combinated together, which must meet the requirements for functional safety.
The Statox 503 Control Module thus fulfills the same safety requirements as a cross-process system, but is much cheaper, easier to install and easier to operate without special training.
The navigation menu is structured clearly and intuitively and offers all the important information in just a few steps. Regardless of whether it is a matter of setting the parameters during installation, or the required standard calibration or proof tests.
The measuring program corresponding to the measuring head is simply selected and the measured value is digitally displayed in the desired unit ppm, % LEL or % Vol. .
In the submenus of the control module, alarm thresholds can also be set, relays can be switched to active or passive, the zero point, bridge voltage, status of the analog output, etc. can also be displayed.
Assembly and disassembly – easy and convenient
The Statox 503 control module is clipped onto a power rail (bus adapter). This provides the 24 VDC power supply for all modules and forwards any alarms to the common alarm module.
The terminals at the front are pluggable – this allows the measuring heads or alarm peripherals to be connected quickly and easily.
